Trucking Industry Drives Growth to US Economy
The trucking industry is sending US unemployment rate down to 5.3 %, authorities claimed. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the trucking industry has opened a great deal of opportunities to the community as it unwrapped more than 17,100 jobs in June.
In a broad perspective, the increase showed that the U.S. economy added 223,000 jobs, improving the overall employment statistics in the country.Among the solid contributors were retailers which added more than 33, 000 jobs from May to June. The warehouse and storage industry also contributed firmly adding 2,800 jobs as of May forecast. The manufacturing industry’s growth added 4,000 jobs.Water transportation was the lone logistics-related sector which showed a tepid and weak employment rate with only 2, 400 jobs contracted in the previous years.
The American trucking industry expects a major growth by 2020. This forecast was completed by the American Trucking Association (ATA) which suggested a growth in the industry’s revenue by 66 %.
