Below is a special message from Richard Overton, the CEO of X2 Logistics Networks.

On this date two years ago ….X2 Elite was established and had its beginnings with a core group of founding companies supporting me with my vision for X2 from the offset.

In the 2 years that X2 Elite has been growing and developing, we have now reached a membership of 153 members representing 121 countries. While doing this we have been able to maintain market balances and in many cases, denied applicants to the group because of market membership caps. We have developed extensively and we are now working hard to drive our niche specialty groups and to constantly identify new innovative ways to support our members moving forward.

Over the past 2 years we have seen a launch party, an Inaugural Conference at the Anantara Riverside in Bangkok, and our recent 2nd Annual Conference in Phuket, Thailand that In some ways was a controversial concept but did bring something different to the networking conference experience. We have even seen some members go that didn’t quite fit the mold of the group. However, overall we have seen many more members adapt and grow with the group because they understand the vision and they can see that X2 is different than other networks and it is not suitable for companies that are lacking in professionalism.

We are certainly happy to have reached this point and it must be said that we could not have reached this point without the members. It is you, the members who really make the network possible. First of all, it must be said that you cannot have a network without members. Likewise, a network cannot function without proper management and direction. This synergy is part of what makes X2 different and, what some would describe as special. This synergy can be seen through the cooperation and feedback about X2 that is given to the network management and from the network management to the members of the group.

This vision and common belief extends beyond simple communications; the commitment of both the network management and the membership could be seen through our previous two conferences. The members of X2 have demonstrated their belief in the principles of the group and have also shown that they want X2 Elite to be a successful. Likewise the commitment of network management to the members is demonstrated from continually denying memberships to closed markets to protect the interests of our members while maintaining balanced growth for an expansive global reach.

Today, we would like to thank all of the members of X2, from the first member to the most recent. With this, we say thank you to the membership for supporting us and helping to make X2 Elite the first successful professional logistics network that focuses on areas that many networks are not positioned for.

I look forward to continued mutual growth and development within the group and more importantly a long term and professional future for all of you that are involved in X2.
